Who is PIANC?
About PIANC
PIANC is the leading global organisation providing technical guidelines, and a network for professionals involved in waterborne transport infrastructure.
Established in 1885, PIANC brings together members from both public and private sectors around the world, including engineers, planners, policymakers, academics, and port authorities.
PIANC BELGIUM is the Belgian National Section based in Brussels. It facilitates links between PIANC HQ and the local members, it ensures that international working groups benefit from the involvement of individuals from Belgium, and organises seminars and conferences in order to advance the knowledge and understanding of developments in maritime transport infrastructure in Belgium.
Members of PIANC BELGIUM work together with over 40 other nations to address a broad range of policy, engineering, and environmental issues for the advancement of waterborne transportation. Members have the opportunity to join international working groups that undertake research and publish reports and technical guidance relating to maritime transport infrastructure.
